Buy as you go
If you are testing the water
You want to see one post before you decide anything. Buy one for $3, read it, and make up your mind. Nearly everyone should start here, including people who end up on a yearly plan later.
You can buy exactly one post for $3 and owe us nothing afterwards. If you get into a rhythm, a plan brings the cost per post down. That is the whole pricing model.
We would genuinely rather you bought a single post first. If it does not read like something you would put your name to, a plan is money wasted.
Pay only for what you use — blogs or keyword research
Nothing recurring. Buy posts when you want them and stop when you do not.

Being honest about how often you will really publish saves more money than any discount.

Three months
Six posts a month for a quarter is enough to see whether search traffic starts moving. It is $42 and it does not turn into a year-long commitment when it ends. This is the one most people should take second.
Yearly
You know you are going to keep going, or you are publishing for clients as well as yourself. The yearly plans bring the cost per post right down and include more research runs.
We are not claiming to replace a good copywriter. It is worth knowing the numbers before you decide which problem you are solving.
A freelance copywriter
Genuinely good, genuinely researched, and genuinely worth it for a page you will keep for years. Twelve of those a year is $3,000 to $7,200 and most small businesses quietly stop after two.
A content agency retainer
You get strategy, writing and reporting. Excellent if you have the budget and the volume to justify it. If you are a two-person trade business, you are paying for a process you will never fully use.
Blog Lab
The research, the writing and the link are handled. You bring the judgement and the twenty minutes to read it before it goes out. That trade is the entire product.
One credit is one standard post, roughly 1,400 to 1,800 words. A long post of about 3,000 words uses 1.5. Rewriting an ordinary page such as an about or service page uses 0.75, because it is shorter. A flagship page uses 1.25. A finished website page — the copy laid out as a complete HTML file — adds 0.5.
Monthly allowances reset each month, the same way a phone plan does. If you know your publishing is uneven, buying posts as you go usually works out better than a plan you only half use.
Prices shown are what you pay. You get a proper tax invoice for every purchase, downloadable from your account, which your accountant will be happier about than a bank statement line.
From your own billing page, in about two clicks. No email, no phone call, no "before you go" offer. Everything you have already published stays yours.

Yes, and plenty of people do. The yearly plans are priced with that in mind. Here is how it works if you build sites for other people.
Send us your web address and tell us what you sell. We will write back and tell you honestly whether blogging will help you, which pages we would aim at first, and what it would cost. If the answer is no, we will say so.
We reply within one working day, Monday to Friday. Prefer email? hello@bloglab.co.nz
